A Fortune 50 Company has an opportunity for a Sr. Application Developer located in Alexandria, Va.  The Application Developer must be a team player, responsible for implementing application design, coding, and unit testing in support of the system requirements and technical specifications. This person will also be responsible for performing other duties as required to ensure that the products or features meet requirements and quality standards. The right candidate for the job will also be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented IT environment. Job duties include but are not limited to software architecture, design, development and testing. Also, design and program for Microsoft SQL Server based applications, will need to prepare technical and other project documentation, and design & source code review for peer developers.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years .NET experience (C#,ASP.NET) in both application & web-centric environments
• Experience with enterprise healthcare systems is a plus
• Expert in building web enabled applications using ASP.NET with C#
• Solid experience with SQL stored procedure programming & testing
• Solid experience with .NET 3.0/or 3.5 (WCF, WF, WPF, etc)
• Expert in object-oriented programming
• Significant experience with XML and XSLT
• Working experience with Service Oriented Architecture environment and applications
• Working experience with Ajax, remoting and WCF
• Must be able to reference and create Web Services
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have demonstrated decision-making, analytical, and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, with minimal guidance
